Latest update

On the remote control screen at the top right, the age of the shown informations is displayed. The informations are a of certain age, since the communication between the remote control and the house-control is done asynchroniously. This means no direct connection exists between the two, since a server operates in the middle (figure 1).

Regulary the server and house-control communicates, and current status is persisted on the server, ready to show when the remote control is opened. The age on the information shown will under normal circumstances be no older than a few hours. When the remote control is opens, it immediately requests an updated system overview from the house-control (if the connection type permits it). This update of informations is normally displayed after a few seconds. When the informations updates, the date and time for latest update is also updated.

The house-control installed in the house is always updated with current events, and can always contact the server, which is standing by for processing when specific events occur.

If the regular communication is prevented, an offline alarm is generated by the server.
